Meet our team

Ekkehard Friedrich

Ekkehard Friedrich is a highly experienced private equity executive with substantial experience in sourcing, structuring, and executing transactions, as well as giving strategic direction to portfolio companies.

Having participated in or advised over 30 transactions, it is safe to say that Ekkehard is one of the most prominent and decorated deal executives in Namibia. Ekkehard has also held diverse, high-profile leadership positions at various companies. He has been a member of over ten boards of directors and investment committees, with several chairmanships at portfolio companies and his own companies.

Ekkehard is a former Partner at Eos Capital, Namibian's leading private equity firm with NAD1.1 billion and three funds under management; here he played an instrumental role in building the business from the ground up and was responsible for dealmaking and portfolio management.

Prior to Eos, he had a career as a management consultant at Accenture Strategy/ M&A and at Rand Strategy Advisors, where he has advised major corporates and international private equity firms on a variety of assignments—from corporate strategy and operating model design to due diligence for transactions. At the beginning of his career, Ekkehard spent two years conducting research as a hedge fund analyst, which laid a firm analytical foundation for his approach.

Ekkehard is entrepreneurial in nature, and was part of the founding teams of several successful companies. Having worked extensively in Namibia, South Africa, wider Sub-Saharan Africa, Europe and the Middle East across several industries, he has built up a unique and powerful network that he can readily leverage.

Qualified in Industrial Engineering and a CFA Charterholder, Ekkehard can swiftly assess and resolve complex problems across various industries.
